Important Notes for UPSC EPFO 2025 Applicants

Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: Up to 5 years
- OBC: Up to 3 years
- EPFO Employees: Up to 5 years

Candidates must produce caste certificates in the prescribed format for age or category relaxation.

Community Reservation: Reservation benefits are only applicable if the caste is listed in the Central Government list. No category change requests will be accepted after submission.

Selection Test: A pen-and-paper based Combined Recruitment Test (CRT) will be conducted to shortlist candidates for interview. The exam date will be notified on the UPSC website.
Scheme and Syllabus for the Combined Recruitment Test (CRT)
Scheme of the Test
- The test will be of two hours duration.
- All questions will carry equal marks.
- The test will consist of objective-type questions with multiple choice answers.
- The medium of the test will be both English and Hindi.

Negative Marking: One-third of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
No penalty will be imposed if a question is left unanswered.

Weightage and Interview Standards
Weightage of Marks
The weightage of marks for the Combined Recruitment Test (CRT) and Interview will be in the ratio of 75:25 for determining the final merit.
Minimum Standards for Interview

Exam Centers
CRT will be held in 78 centers across India. Center allotment is based on first-apply-first-allot basis, except for Chennai, Dispur, Kolkata, and Nagpur which have no limits. Early applicants have a better chance of getting their preferred center.
